Searching the database of the Douglas E. Goldman Jewish Genealogy Center

The Douglas E. Goldman Jewish Genealogy Center, located on the third floor of the Permanent Exhibition, is the only Jewish Genealogy Center of its kind in the world. In the Center, visitors can search a computerized database containing thousands of genealogies of Jewish families from all over the world and can also register their own family trees.

More than 2,600,000 names have already been entered into the constantly expanding database. Visitors from all backgrounds can explore their ancestry, record and preserve their own family trees for future generations, thus adding their own "branch" to the family tree of the Jewish People.

Send us a SEARCH ORDER and get information from our database!
You can place a Search Order and receive the initial results by e-mail. Printouts will then be sent to you by mail or fax. The cost of a search is: NIS 25.00 per search (up to four Family Names).

If a name appears in our database, we will send you a list of all the entries for that name (up to 100). If there are more than 100 entries for a name, we will notify you as to the number of entries. If you wish to order the entire list of entries for a name, the cost is NIS25.00 per 100 names.

How to search the database in the VISITOR CENTER?
In the VISITOR CENTER you can access the database, receive information on how to prepare your family tree and how to register it.

Opening hours of the Center are as follows:

• Sun, Mon, Tues, Thurs : 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
• Wed : 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
