Visits by Disadvantaged Youth
to Beth Hatefutsoth
One of the most important Projects which the
"Friends of
Beth Hatefutsoth in Israel" has nurtured throughout the
years is a cultural-educational project which allows handicapped
children, children from underprivileged families, immigrant families
to experience a day's visit at the Museum. Experience has proven that
such a Program increases the children's sense of Jewish identity and
awareness about the variety of communities and cultures within the
Jewish people. Special programs have been prepared for Bar/Bat Mitzvah
children, who are in the midst of a critical period of shaping their
identity as people, Jews and Israelis.
In light of increasing demand for participation and
the Museum's financial constraints we appeal to you to help raise the
necessary funds to enable the continuation of that important project.
The cost for one child to
participate is US $ 5.00 (including instruction, activities,
materials, work sheets, use of information resources), we will gladly
accept contributions funding the visit of any amount of children you
may want to sponsor.
