She was born in Szczuczyn,
Poland, and in her youth received an education in both
Hebrew and Russian. She became active in the Zionist youth
movement He-Halutz Hatzair and in1930 immigrated to
Palestine where she joined Kibbutz Gevat. Her publications
include poetry and prose and ten volumes of stories, verse
and plays for children by which she became well known to the
young generations growing up in the Land of Israel and in
the early decades of the State of Israel.
