Born in Sfax,
Tunisia. Allouche was editor of the local newspaper "Depeche
Sfaxienne". In 1924, he founded the Jewish weekly "Le Reveil Juif",
and in 1934 was appointed editor of the Zionist paper "Tunis Soir".
He was also one of the founders of the Zionist weekly "La Vie
Juive". During the WW2, Allouche joined the Resistance against the
occupying German troops. He later served as the Tunis correspondent
for newspapers in Europe and America. He immigrated to Israel in
1956.
