Beth Hatefutsoth's 30th anniversary – upcoming developments and changes

In 2008 "Beth Hatefutsoth" will mark it's 30th anniversary. When opened on Israel's 30th Independence Day (1978), Beth Hatefutsoth introduced novelties and fresh interactive conceptions, at that time considered bold and innovative in Israel and abroad.

Now, after 30 years, the time has come to renovate and innovate once more. Beth Hatefutsoth is now developing and changing in various realms. The permanent exhibition is being upgraded; a new integrated database will soon be launched; the lobby and exhibitions halls are being expanded; a new exhibition about the proud struggle of "Refuseniks" in the former U.S.S.R shall open in November 2007 (initiated by the "Nizkor ve Nishmor association); and the Nadav Foundation has recently established an International School for Jewish Peoplehood Studies.

Within a few months we shall also launch a new, beautifully designed website which will offer simple navigation and search, easy access to the databases, interactive educational and social activities, a shop, and more features.
