ILANOT ("Trees", in Hebrew) is a Jewish genealogy software program
produced by Beth Hatefutsoth.
ILANOT keeps track of your family tree. A family tree
is the graphical representation of your relationships to other members of
your family. It is easy to use and very flexible. You can store just about
any number of people in its database and have any number of databases.
Other features include:

Bird's Eye View of Your Family Tree:
For any given individual, you can see his or her
children, spouse, parents, and grandparents and, optionally,
great-grandparents, in a graphical tree format. It is from this tree view
that you will navigate through your family tree and perform operations
such as adding people, printing reports, and so on.
Easy Navigation:
By simply clicking on any individual shown in the tree,
that individual becomes the current individual and ILANOT displayed his or
her tree. A current individual is the person for whom the current view of
the family tree is centered and all actions are based. If you know a name
and want to see that person's tree, you can select that person from a list
of names.
Multiple Views of Your Data:
At any one time, you can display any number of trees
with each displaying information about different individuals.
Complete Genealogical Information:
You can record information, such as key dates and
places, for each individual. You can also record free format notes about
any individual. You can enter anecdotes, information about the source of
the data, etc.
Multiple Date Formats:
You may enter dates in any of the following formats:
Hebrew, Civil (or Gregorian), Julian, Islamic. ILANOT will convert from
one date format to the other at any time.

Multimedia Support:
As well as text information, you can store multimedia
objects such as video clips, sound clips, photos, plus many other objects.
Imagine storing a voice clip of Aunt Minnie or a video of her at her 90th
birthday.
Powerful Editing Features:
If you enter incorrect individuals or relationships,
there are multiple ways to correct the data including the use of drag and
drop facilities.
Report Printing:
The reports give a concise list of any individual's
descendants or ancestors. You can customize reports to include dates and
places.
Family Sheet Printing:
A family sheet is a printout of all information about
an individual (excluding photos). The set can be based on any individual
and be made up of all the family sheets for that individual's ancestors or
descendants. All the family sheets are fully cross-referenced with other
family sheets.
Chart Printing:
You can view and print graphical charts, which show ancestors or
descendants.
List Printing:
You can print a simple list that shows a number of
individuals. Blank fields show data to be completed making the list a good
report to take with you to the local graveyard, archives or great Aunt
Minnie. You can double-space the report to simplify making revisions.
GEDCOM Support:
GEDCOM data may be imported into an existing or new
database, and exported into GEDCOM files for use in other programs. Names,
dates, places, and notes are all recognized and handled during GEDCOM
import and export. GEDCOM Standard Release 5.5 is supported.
