At 82, Joe Harari is still active as head of the Alexandria Jewish community. The offices of the Jewish community are located in the Eliyahu Hanavi synagogue complex on Nabi Daniel Street. Even today, when there is rarely a minyan for prayer, the synagogue is still well maintained by the community.
