I Tell My Story Now - Partisan Vitka Kovner's Memories
in a film by

Vitka Kampner, wife of the late Abba Kovner, tells her unique, personal story, in a documentary film that sheds light on the contribution and hardships of partisan women during the Holocaust period.
Vitka Kovner was active in the FPO partisans organization in Vilna, and after the liquidation of the Vilna ghetto fought in the Jewish partisans unit commanded by Abba Kovner in the Rodniki Forest. Later Kovner became her spouse, in Ein HaChoresh Kibbutz. Vitka was known as a fearless fighter and was awarded a Soviet medal of valor for her participation in the bombing of a German train in the Vilna ghetto in 1942.
The film is accompanied by music of the Yiddish ensemble of Nechama Lifschitz.
