More than 15,000 students from 55 schools in Argentina, Canada, Israel, Mexico, South Africa, Spain, USA, and Venezuela participated in the tenth annual My Family's Story International Competition. More than 300 projects reached the final stage of the competition and of these 50 were chosen for the final judging. A personal Certificate of Excellence from Beth Hatefutsoth was granted to every student whose work made it to the final stage of the competition.

The Panel of Judges consisted of representatives of the Israel Ministry of Education, the Constantiner Family School of Education of Tel Aviv University, the Israel Genealogical Society, the Douglas E. Goldman Jewish Genealogy Center at Beth Hatefutsoth, the Bernhard H. and Miriam Oster Visual Documentation Center of Beth Hatefutsoth, the Education Center of Beth Hatefutsoth, and other public representatives.

The prize-giving ceremony took place on June 12th at Beth Hatefutsoth. The ceremony was attended by Mrs. and Mr. Sami Shamoon, Prof. Naama Sabar Ben-Yehoshua of the Constantiner Family School of Education of Tel Aviv University, Mrs. Hasia Israeli, Director of Beth Hatefutsoth, representatives from the Israeli Education Ministry, educators, students, members of the families, and guests.
