Ken Gabel Appointed as Capital Campaign Director
It is with great pleasure that we welcome Ken Gabel to our team as we move forward with the rebuilding of the new Museum of the Jewish People. Ken brings nearly 38 years of successful professional fundraising and not-for-profit management experience to Beit Hatfutsot.
Ken worked in the UJA-Federation network for nearly 30 years. He is especially proud of having served as Executive Director for Operation Exodus in New York, where $180 million was raised to help fund the historic resettlement of nearly half a million Jews from the former Soviet Union. Ken also worked for several years in the network of Jewish Community Centers in New York and in New Hampshire as well as in the not-for-profit health care sector. A social worker by profession, Ken has taught not-for-profit management at the graduate school level.
Since 2008, Ken has worked as an independent consultant helping small and mid-sized not-for-profit organizations with strategic planning, board development and fundraising.
We wish Ken the very best of luck as he takes his position as Capital Campaign Director.
