Sukkot Festival - Netanya
Sukkot World Festival Will Raffle Off Two Tickets for a Personalized Roots Journey
The public is invited to upload their own family trees as part of this year’s Sukkot World Festival: Celebrating the Jewish Experience. The festival will celebrate the Jewish holiday of Sukkot (Tabernacles) with a massive tent in the Shlulit Park in Netanya, and will enable visitors to enter details about their family histories to the Beit Hatfutsot Integrated Database. Participants will be entered into a raffle where they will be eligible to win two tickets to their country of origin, with a journey to their roots.
The event includes fifty computer stations, sponsored by MyHeritage for family roots research, and a special “You are part of the story” Sukkah in which visitors can enter their personal details to be part of a large communal Star of David mosaic. The Festival also includes children’s activities from the A-B-See-Do exhibition.
The Festival is a joint venture of Beit Hatfutsot, the Ministry of Public Diplomacy and Diaspora Affairs and the Netanya Municipality.
The Festival will take place from the 16th-18th of October, 5PM-11PM, at the Shlulit Park in Netanya.
