Distinguished Austrian Visit to Beit Hatfutsot
Beit Hatfutsot had the honor of hosting a distinguished mission of Austrian officials including some of the highest ranking members of the Austrian government in November. Governor of Upper Austria Dr. Josef Puhringer and the new Ambassador of Austria in Israel Ambassador Franz Josef Kuglitsch led the delegation of 18 prominent Austrian figures to Beit Hatfutsot. Upper Austria and its capital Linz are considered a major cultural and tourist center.
Prior to this visit, BH development officer Enia Zeevi Kupfer had met with Austrian officials in Austrian Jewish leaders in Vienna in the context of efforts to build the European base of friends of Beit Hatfutsot. Ms. Kupfer met with former Austrian Ambassador to Israel Minister Michael Rendi, Ambassador of the State of Israel in Austria Aviv Shir-On, Mag. Hannah M. Lessing, Secretary General of The National Fund of the Republic of Austria, Prof. Herwig Hosele, Secretary General of the Future Fund of the Republic of Austria, and Dr. Ariel Muzicant President of the Jewish Communities of Austria. Ms. Kupfer welcomed the delegation and expressed hopes for continued collaboration between Beit Hatfutsot and Upper Austria.
