French Senator Christian Cointat visited Beit Hatfutsot this month as part of a government mission to reach out to some of the 150,000 French citizens living in Israel.  He visited Beit Hatfutsot with Michael Gomel and Gerard Pomper of UFE Israel, the organization of French Jews in Israel, and was very impressed with the work of the museum. He especially appreciated the inclusion of French athletes in the exhibition The Game of their Lives, and expressed an interest in building partnerships between Beit Hatfutsot and the French Government.
