Latin American Diplomats view Operation Finale

A group of ambassadors, cultural attaches and representatives of South America visited Beit Hatfutsot in May to view the exhibition, Operation Finale: The Story of the Capture of Eichmann.  Adolf Eichmann was captured in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1960. The group was led by the Dean of the Latin American Diplomatic Corps and El Salvador Ambassador Suzana Gun de Hasenson and included Argentine Ambassador Carlos Garcia, Honduras Ambassador Jose Herrera, Uruguay Ambassador Bernardo Greiver, Panamanian Ambassador Hector Aparivio, and Chilean Cultural Attache San Salvador. The group received a guided tour by Avner A., Mossad agent and curator of the exhibition. “This is an important chapter in the history of the Israeli-Argentinian relationship where they acted in unison, and it is important to teach the story so future generations can learn from it.”
