The idea for a recital of Musica Judaica was conceived by pianist Varda Nishry in the early 1990s. “For me”, she explains, “Musica Judaica is any music that relates to Judaism.” The selection on this CD includes piano works by Paul Ben-Haim, Alberto Hemsi, Shlomo Yoffe, Oskar Gottlieb Blarr and Stefan Wolpe.
