Creative Writing at The Museum of the Jewish People at Beit Hatfutsot

In this unique class, Jennifer Lang will take you on a journey, using the museum’s permanent and temporary collections, to write about roots and religion, family trees and traditions, humor and humility, language and lost communities. No previous experience required. The class is open to all levels and genres.

Classes will be supplemented by rich content from the Museum of the Jewish People at Beit Hatfutsot which will include tours, and unique insights into our exhibitions and personal and collective archives, including photographs, family trees and communities.

Jennifer Lang is a San Francisco Bay Area native, who lives and writes in Raanana. Her essays have appeared in “Under the Sun”, “Ascent”, “Brevity”, and “1966”.

A Pushcart Prize and Best American Essays nominee, she earned an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts. In 2015, Jennifer founded the Israel Writers Studio, where she teaches mixed-genre classes and hosts workshops. http://israelwriterstudio.com/
