Annual awards ceremony of the Jewish Lens program – Via ZOOM
On Sunday, March 22, we were supposed to hold the annual awards ceremony of the Jewish Lens program, an event that celebrates the program’s extensive activities with participants from across the country and around the world. Due to the CoronaVirus crisis, we had to cancel the event, but our Koret international school team did not gave up and within a few days produced a virtual ZOOM ceremony with 154 participants connecting from 21 countries. In the Jewish Lens, teens from all over the world take a picture that symbolizes their connection to the Jewish people, and a judging committee selects the 20 winning images each year. This time the ceremony was particularly exciting as participants from different countries shared their feelings on these unique days that we are all going through. Irmiya Rozen of Israel, whose photo: “Condolences” was among the winning pictures, wished all the participants good health and safer days.
