Film: Gdanski Railway Station
We were proud and delighted to host the first screening of the film Gdanski Railway Station, in cooperation with the Museum of the History of Polish Jews POLIN.
The film follows the attempt of Polish-Jewish immigrants to cope with the painful events of 1968 – an outbreak of an anti-Semitic wave which led to a mass exile of 20,000 Polish citizens of Jewish origin. The screening was followed by a short presentation about the upcoming exhibit “March ’68” at the POLIN museum (March, 2018) and a discussion, featuring: Sophia Braun, Ilana Etgar, and Leon Sfard from the Polish-Israeli Reunion68, and Israeli journalist and economist Sever Plocker. Moderator: Philosopher Anna C. Zielinska.
