Overview
The first CD in this set was released by the Jewish Historical Museum under the title "Chazzanoet in Vooroologs Joods Amsterdam" with the choir of the Great Synagogue in Amsterdam, conducted by S.H. Englander. The second CD features cantorial music and Yiddish songs by Hazzanim, who were active in Amsterdam before the Second World War. The recordings come from the collection of Willy Lindwer. With Benzion Moskovits, Salo de Jong, Jo Rabbie, Wolf Reisel.
